Dolphins and octopus (well, half of an octopus)

Shortly after leaving Nisis Varvaroussa we had our second dolphin sighting! This one was much more satisfying than the first, as you can see in this video! Dolphins

We proceeded to sail through some weird rainy/stormy weather, ultimately settling in the bay between Dhespotico and Antiparos for the night.  Once ensconsced, we hit the shore for food and WiFi. We were not disappointed. Octopus and calamari!  And WiFi! I’m on a Twin Peaks mission…

Yes, I post photos of food now, deal with it!

After a windy, rainy night, we headed to the town of Antiparos.  It’s not much to look at from shore, but if you wander inland it’s adorable!

Apparently Tom Hanks has a place here.  Now we’re killing time and replenishing resources anticipating the arrival of our next guests on Sunday–Marc and Debbie!  Stay tuned!

  1. Hope you found the best home made ice cream place in Antiparos town – keep walking up the main pedestrian street to the top – its a small place on the right side, next to a butcher – yum!

    1. Oooh, we did not go there, but we’re heading back once we collect Marc and Debbie on Paros. Will indulge for sure! Thanks for the tip! And the boat to facilitate acting on the tip!

  2. The boys second Carolyn’s recommendation. As soon as I told them you were in Antiparos they yelled “I hope they go to Vicki’s!”. You should also try the strapasada at the Kouros hotel…yum. Thanks for posting your adventures.

    1. Adorbs! We will definitely blog about Vicki’s! Thanks for the restaurant recommendation too–TripAdvisor is helpful, but you never quite know. We did have some really good pizza at Lollo’s. I’ve been forcing Mike to make me curried chicken at least twice a week–now that’s a reliable restaurant!

  3. I am sitting on our little deck in Ottawa ‘bracing for a heat warning…’ enjoying the warm morning breeze, and all I can think is how wonderful a morning like this is on a boat. Have another fabulous day! Your photos are awesome, thanks for the taste of paradise. Alf

    1. I’ll have a drink in your honour, Alf! Our company arrived today, lots of drinks are in order!

  4. You can post all the food photos you like! Brings back memories of all the great meals we had when we were in Greece. (The octopus meals were my favourite!)

  5. Your blog is getting me over the hump – desperate to get back to Greece and on the water! Only one week left before Tom and I head out to Corfu…please send pictures of Paroskite and the kite surfing beach! Moored in Anti-paros is my favourite spot…have fun! David

  6. I love reading your blog. An absolutely marvelous adventure. With you in spirit. Swim with the dolphins 🙂 Enjoy and stay safe – hugs Joan

  7. Love the comment about you taking photos of food and telling others to deal with it. Ha Ha
Enjoy reading of your adventures and witty way of expressing each event in “Kathy detail”

  8. Hello would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m
having a hard time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
