Well, not quite, but Kathy did get a couple of minor jellyfish stings the other afternoon as she bravely swam back to the boat from a beachside taverna. Oh, and I knocked a glass of water over the same night and killed my crappy ZTE phone. Good riddance! I now blog to you from a shiny new Samsung J5. Sadly not waterproof, but at least I won’t subconsciously be trying to drop it overboard.
Rented a sporty VW to go phone shopping and visit the ruins at Delphi today, while Coral hangs at anchor in Galaxidhi. Living without a smartphone for 2 whole days was barbaric! Oh sweet Windytv, Googlemaps, and Gmail!
You are going to love the Ionian! This is really like lake sailing! Wind comes up late afternoon and blows all the heat away…then drops for a peaceful night at anchor. We have had some amazing glat water sailing…looking forward to rendezvousing soon! We are in Sami, Kefalonia right now…

Ah Delphi! Did you go up to the stadium? Such a spectacular view.
Sorry to hear about the jellyfish. I heard they are pretty painful.
We did go all the way up to the stadium–quite a hike. If the Greek people were more entrepreneurial they would put a taverna at the top! I’d have certainly settled in for a few drinks. It was also almost 40 degress that day. Yowza.
The jellyfish wasn’t as bad as I had been expecting (that particular type, anyway, we’ve seen about four different kinds so far), so I’m glad I got the first stings (3!) over with. It was not nearly as bad as when the bees living under Jane’s porch attacked me!
What a great idea re the beer at the top!
